Just past Lakeland is the growing town of Arlington. A quiet, rural town with a charming town square, some say that Arlington is “Shelby County’s best kept secret.” It combines the best of rural living with the convenience of proximity to cities. Arlington has estate-size lots on an abundance of land and is close to the shopping and conveniences of nearby Cordova, within commuting distance of greater Memphis, and within a 3-hour drive from Nashville to the east. Many of the homes here were also built late century and offer modern conveniences. Like Lakeland, the neighborhoods here are clean and safe, and Arlington’s Community Schools’ system is one of the best in Shelby County.
