Founded in 1835, Cordova was a friendly farming village nestled on Memphis’s east side. The region drew pioneers due to its access to the rich and fertile land of the West. The area is famous for the iconic fresh-cut flowers shipped to Memphis. Because of flowers and friendliness, Cordova became known as “Farms, Flowers and Fellowship.”  The name still fits today!

The region continues to grow as more people move to the area. Cordova’s borders are up for dispute between the annexed portions and those unincorporated. The general agreement is that the region extends from the iconic Wolf River along the south to I-40 on the north. East to west, Cordova ranges from Whitten Road to Pisgah Road.
