How to get your Mississippi License

MS Residents Sales Person

If you have been in the business in MS for over a year, then you can apply for the BROKER status: Click Here

Here is a recap of what you will need:

We highly encourage reading the application and the PSI page to get a full scope of what is needed.

  • Fill out the Application in its entirety (they will not process it if you don’t fill it all out)!
  • Job History
  • Real Estate Education History
  • Your Brokers signatures
  • Your convictions, judgments, or bankruptcies will be inquired about
  • Copy of your MS License
  • Must include Bank Account info!
  • Notarized Affidavit
  • Three MS Residents that OWN their property to vouch for you!
  • All Classes are taken to meet the requirements of being a Broker
  • Face photo (profile and front of face)
  • Passport size (FedEx Kinkos is a good location to do this)
  • Fingerprints
  • Background checks
  • Check to pay the fees for the Application
  • Order your temporary E & O
  • NO DIGITAL SIGNATURES

 

Non-Residents Sales Person (i.e. TN or other states)

  • Must include Bank Account info!
  • Notarized Affidavit
  • Notarized Page in the Application from your Broker
  • Three TN Residents that OWN their property to vouch for you!
  • All Classes are taken to meet the requirements of being a Broker

  • Fingerprints
  • Background checks
  • Check to pay the fees for the Application

  • Certificate of Licensure (if you are licensed in TN, you get this from TREC – email TREC.info@tn.gov with your license number and request)

If this is for the Broker Non-Resident License, you will need a letter from the Broker.

 

Helpful Tips:

We encourage our agents to make a scanned copy to have with you. We also advise you to email this to the MREC Coordinator and let them know it has been mailed. Finally, we advise our agents to mail the paperwork with the signature required and a tracking number.

When do I contact the Association of REALTORS?

You contact them after MREC has congratulated you on the completion of your license.
